Shopping And Saving Money - Tips On How To Do Both!
I have been a thrifty shopper for as long as I can remember. I have shopped at the Goodwill, thrift shops, Salvation army stores, yard sales and flea markets. I have found designer names, such as Coach, Vera Bradley, Kathy Van Zeeland and more at these venues. Many times, someone would comment about my clothes or bag, and I was reluctant to tell them I got it at the Goodwill! But now, I am eager to share my shopping secrets with anyone that will listen. It seems now, that shopping thriftly is cool! It is a combination of the thrill of the hunt and the find! It is almost a rush!! Just the other day , I found a Coach Black Men’s Belt at the Goodwill! It is a $100 belt I got for .99!! Think of all the gas you can buy with the $99 dollar savings! Are you beginning to get the picture?
So, what is it that you want to shop for and save money at the same time?
Clothes are a given. You can buy name brand jeans, coats, tops and handbags all for a fraction of the cost. I must admit that it takes a little longer to find the deals. Oh yes, did I mention patients? You must have patients to look through many items that you don’t want, to find the one you do want!
Shopping at places like this can be addictive! When you find that perfect pair of jeans or top for $4.99, you will have a difficult time going back to paying full retail! I have met some very nice people that shop in these stores regularly. One lady works at a bank. She comes into the Goodwill on her lunch hour! She likes to go through the books! Other people like to look through the bric bracs. Dishes, glasses, picture frames, silver and more can be found in this store. Many times stores like Target and Marshall”s donate unsold items to the goodwill with the tags still on them! How much are they? Well, lets see… tops are $3.79, and jeans are $4.99. Does that make your mouth water for bargains? Just think of all the money you can save.
These stores also carry used furniture. It is amazing what people give away! They get tired of it, or it doesn’t fit their decor anymore, so they get rid of it. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure as they say.
So what are you waiting for? It time to start saving money. Shop at the Goodwill, flea market, thrift stores and save. Oh yes, don’t forget to check out my website. When I see a good deal, I can’t resist buying it, even if I don’t need it. That’s when I pass the savings on to you!
